Integrity of Heart
Integrity of Heart💗
Quotes from Richard J. Maynes: Read the talk
I love when I hear the meaning of things. When we live with "Full purpose of heart," we are living in integrity.
"Being a [women] of integrity simply means your intentions, as well as your actions, are pure and righteous in all aspects of your life, both in public and in private. With each decision we make, we either merit more of God’s trust or diminish His trust. This principle is perhaps most clearly manifest in our divinely appointed responsibilities as [wives and mothers]."
When my children asked the Question, "Don't you trust me?" I use to tell them, "Trust is earned" And then I would allow them to earn that trust, and complement them by saying, "That really helps me trust you!" or "Wow, because you did that, I know I will trust you again." I loved the look in their eyes when I said that. They knew they had done the right thing.
Heavenly Father also wants us to earn his trust.
Elder Maynes tells us: One thing is for certain: earning the Lord’s trust is a blessing that comes through great effort on our part.
1. By Keeping the commandments.
2. by keeping our covenants.
Joy in the Journal:
Record an experience you have had in the past week that is an example of earning the Lords trust. (Yes it is okay to KNOW that you are earning the Lords trust!)
